Playwrights Horizons' world premiere production of ANTILA PNEUMATICA, a new play by Anne Washburn, directed by two-time Obie Award winner Ken Rus Schmoll, begins Friday, March 11 at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater. Playwrights Horizons has announced casting for ANTLIA PNEUMATICA, the world premiere of a new play by Anne Washburn (Mr. Burns, a post-electric play at PH; 10 Out of 12; Iphigenia at Aulis; The Internationalist), directed by two-time Obie Award winner Ken Rus Schmoll (Iowa at PH, The Internationalist, The Invisible Hand, Red Dog Howls, Middletown, What Once We Felt). Commissioned by Playwrights Horizons, the play is the fifth production of the theater company's 2015/2016 Season.
Primary Stages announces casting for Exit Strategy, a New York premiere by Ike Holter (Hit the Wall)and directed by Kip Fagan (Grand Concourse). The limited engagement runs March 30 - May 6, 2016 at Primary Stages at the Cherry Lane Theatre and features Michael Cullen, Aime Donna Kelly, Rey Lucas, Deirdre Madigan, Christina Nieves, Brandon J. Philadelphia Theatre Company will present the gripping and timely play Exit Strategy by "Chicagoan of the Year" Ike Holter January 29-February 28. The Flea Theater presents the New York premiere of Jennifer Haley's NEIGHBORHOOD 3: REQUISITION OF DOOM, directed by Joel Schumacher (Batman Forever, The Client, The Lost Boys) and featuring members of The Bats, the Flea's resident acting company. Previews begin November 9, with opening night slated for Monday, November 16. Says Artistic Director Niegel Smith, "Jennifer Haley's insightful play exposes the chasms within a community consumed by violent video games.
