Casting For Local Lab Features Forrest McClendon And More

Local Theater Company (Local) is pleased to announce initial casting for Local Lab, Boulder, Co's premiere festival of new American plays. Now in its eighth year, Local Lab features three new plays including Flame Broiled. or the ugly play by Rodney Hicks (original cast of Rent and Come from Away on Broadway), Orange Crush by Daniel Goldstein (presented in partnership with Roundabout Theatre Company) and Discount Ghost Stories, a new musical by Alexander Sage Oyen and Jessica Kahkoska.

LETTERS TO THE PRESIDENT In Concert Comes to Cooper Union April 8

Letters to the President is a multi-composer song cycle in development with The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.  A concert presentation of the new work is set for Monday, April 8, 2019 at 7pm in the historic Great Hall at Cooper Union.

Midnight Theatricals has annouced an updated performance schedule and released a new trailer for WE ARE THE TIGERS, the original pop/rock musical and teen horror comedy written & composed by Preston Max Allen and produced by S. Asher Gelman, that will open Off-Broadway at Theater 80 (80 St. Mark's Place) tonight at 8:00PM Michael Bello directs the pitch-black comedy about a dismally low-ranking team of cheerleaders trying to survive the night while being terrorized by a serial killer. Music supervision and arrangements are by Patrick Sulken. The production began previews on Thursday, February 7, 2019, and will run through April 17. www.tigersmusical.com

Boulder's Local Theater Company Announces 2018/19 Season

Local Theater Company will open is eighth season of professional theater in Boulder, Colorado, with the world premiere of 'Paper Cut' by Andrew Rosendorf at the Dairy Arts Center on October 17, 2018. An audience favorite earlier this spring during the company's annual new play festival, the show explores the toll of war on a soldier returning home an amputee after an IED explosion.

The Colorado Theatre Guild Presents The 13th Annual Henry Award Nominations

The Colorado Theatre Guild's 13th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Lone Tree Arts Center, located at 10075 Commons St. Lone Tree, CO 80124. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by a reception at the Lone Tree Arts Center. Tickets are $35 for CTG members, $40 non-members or $45 at the door. NAMT Awards $65,000 In Grants For New Musical Development & Organizational Innovation

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) announces 18 awards granted from their National Fund for New Musicals, and five awards granted from their Innovation & Exploration Grant program. The National Fund for New Musicals (NFNM) is a major funding program to support NAMT member not-for-profit theatres in their collaborations with writers to create, develop and produce new musicals. Now in its tenth year, this year the Fund is providing grants totaling $58,000 to organizations across the country.
