Casting For Local Lab Features Forrest McClendon And More Local Theater Company (Local) is pleased to announce initial casting for Local Lab, Boulder, Co's premiere festival of new American plays. Now in its eighth year, Local Lab features three new plays including Flame Broiled. or the ugly play by Rodney Hicks (original cast of Rent and Come from Away on Broadway), Orange Crush by Daniel Goldstein (presented in partnership with Roundabout Theatre Company) and Discount Ghost Stories, a new musical by Alexander Sage Oyen and Jessica Kahkoska. Local Lab ensemble includes Broadway veteran Forrest McClendon (Tony Award nominee, The Scottsboro Boys) and some of Colorado's favorite actors including Rodney Lizcano (Rape of the Sabine Women by Grace. B. Mattias) Jada Suzanne Dixon (The Firestorm), Jake Mendes (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) and Mare Trevathan (Rape of the Sabine Women by Grace. B. Mattias). The Lab ensemble also features Steven Cole Hughes, Diana Dresser, Ilasiea Gray and Erik Fellenstein.
