American Psycho is heading to Broadway! According to an Equity casting notice, producers David Johnson, Jesse Singer, Jeffrey Richards, and Jerry Frankel plan to begin Broadway previews in mid-February 2016, with a mid-March 2016 opening. Rehearsals will begin in January. Casting has not yet been announced.
Producers Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, and Steve Traxler just announced that AL PACINOwill return to Broadway in the world premiere of CHINA DOLL, a new play by DAVID MAMET. It will begin previews on October 20, 2015, with an official opening on November 19, 2015, at The Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street). The play will also feature FRAN KRANZ (You Can't Take It With You, Death of a Salesman, “Dollhouse”). Tony Award-winner PAM MACKINNON (The Heidi Chronicles, Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance, Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) will direct. The creative team will include scenic design by Tony Award-winner Derek McLane (Gigi, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, 33 Variations), lighting design by Russell H. Champa (In the Next Room (or the vibrator play)), and costume design by Tony Award-winner Jess Goldstein (Jersey Boys, Proof, The Rivals).
Joining Pacino in the play will be Fran Kranz, who most recently starred on Broadway in You Can't Take It With You, as the assistant to Pacino.

You Can't Take It With You, the Pulitzer Prize-winning revival by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, is set to play its final performances this week. The show will play its final performance on Sunday, February 22nd at 3 pm. It will have played 208 performances.

In keeping with the spirit of art historian Heidi Holland and her adventurous journey through the remarkable decades of 60s, 70s, and 80s art and culture, producers have announced that the first Broadway revival of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Wendy Wasserstein play The Heidi Chronicles will offer a free one-year membership to the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) with the purchase of two full price orchestra or front mezzanine tickets to any performance of The Heidi Chronicles through April 16. Tickets must be purchased on or before February 22. Those who are already MoMA members will receive a one-year extension on their membership.
