Young Broadway Vets to Lead York Theatre Company's YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN

The York Theatre Company, in association with Van Dean, Tony Heyes/Mia Moravis and Sister Productions, has announced the complete cast for the hit musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown with book, music and lyrics by Clark Gesner and additional material by Andrew Lippa and Michael Mayer.

Theatre Arts Center New York (Robert Laconi, Executive Director), New York's premiere theatrical summer training program for young artists, celebrates a major milestone:  15 years of producing and training students in acting, musical theater, and dance in New York City. 

Toronto KINKY BOOTS Star Alan Mingo Jr. to Succeed Wayne Brady as 'Lola' on Broadway

Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that Alan Mingo Jr. will play 'Lola' in the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street), beginning March 29, 2016. Mingo, who comes to Broadway straight from the Toronto production of Kinky Boots, succeeds Emmy Award-winner Wayne Brady in the role. Brady, who took over the coveted part of 'Lola' from Tony Award-winner (and original star) Billy Porter in November 2015, plays his final performance on March 27, 2016.

Broadway's CAROLS FOR A CURE, VOL. 17 Now Available on iTunes

The 2015 "Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 17" now is available on iTunes.  The 19-track album of original and traditional holiday music features stars and casts from the current Broadway line-up, and benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA), one of the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. The entire album is available for $15.99, and includes a digital booklet with liner notes about each participating cast, designating soloists and session photos. Individual tracks also may be purchased for $.99 each.

Photo Coverage: Inside Tony Winner Billy Porter's Last KINKY BOOTS Curtain Call

Billy Porter, who has played over 800 performances in the role of 'Lola' and won both a Tony Award and a Grammy Award for his work in Broadway's KINKY BOOTS, took the stage in his final historic performance last night, November 20, 2015. Porter made a touching speech during his final curtain call and passed off the iconic red boots to his successor, Wayne Brady. Check out photos from the sweet event below!
