Soon, secrets are revealed, civilities are dropped and identities are explored in a harsh new light. Race and rivalry, class and family, all come together for an explosive comedy of manners about today's complex world.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) presents the Broadway-bound world premiere of the new musical Once, which is based on the Academy Award-winning film. Once began previews Tuesday, November 15 and opens tonight, December 6 at New York Theatre Workshop, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. Also revealed tonight are plans for ONCE to open on Broadway, beginning previews at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theater on February 28, 2012, with an opening night set for March 18, 2012.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director), Women's Project (Julie Crosby, Producing Artistic Director) and La Jolla Playhouse (Christopher Ashley, Artistic Director; Michael S. Rosenberg, Managing Director) has announced a one-week extension of its critically-acclaimed, sold out New York premiere production of MILK LIKE SUGAR, a new play by Kirsten Greenidge, directed by Rebecca Taichman. Originally set to play a limited engagement through Sunday, November 20, the production extended through Sunday, November 27 at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street). The additional week represents the only extension possible.

Baz Bamingoye reports in today's UK Daily Mail that Tyne Daly, who led the Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway production of Terrence McNally's Tony Award-winning MASTER CLASS, directed by Stephen Wadsworth which closed on September 4 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street) will bring her portrayal to London's West End in 2012.
