The 4th Annual International Stage It! 10-Minute Play Festival has announced the winners for this year's publication, now in it's fourth volume. The unique competition began with open submissions in October, garnering 346 plays from around the world, and a unique adjudication process. The top 25 plays have been selected for publication in Stage It! 4: 10-Minute Plays. The book is released in conjunction with the Festival weekend, March 20-22, where many of the plays will be produced.

This past weekend, playwright & producer Susan Merson presented IN HER NAME: A WEEKEND OF WOMEN'S STORIES as part of '365 WOMEN A YEAR: A Playwriting Project,' a festival of new plays at the 13th Street Repertory Theater (50 West 13th Street, NYC Friday night).
The Irish Repertory Theatre, which 'encourages the development of works focusing on the Irish and Irish-American experience, and produces works of other cultures interpreted through the lens of an Irish sensibility,' continues the 10th season of the Irish Rep Reading Series. A staged reading of Jennifer O'Grady's play Charlotte's Letters will be held on Friday, January 29 at 3pm EST at the DR2 Theater, 103 East 15th Street (the Irish Repertory Theatre's temporary home during current renovations). The Irish Rep's literary manager, Kara Manning, will direct the reading. Tickets are free, and the event is open to the public. An RSVP to 212-727-2737 is suggested.
