On July 1st, Canada's 150th Birthday, the National Arts Centre inaugurates a new building wing which transforms the Centre for the first time in 50 years. Diamond Schmitt Architects has designed new public spaces and a new entry which, for the first time, connect the NAC to Confederation Square and the Parliamentary Precinct in Ottawa.

The main auditorium of the National Arts Centre in Ottawa has re-opened following a renovation accomplished in just three months that is designed to add comfort and improve acoustics in Southam Hall.

Casting has been announced for the developmental production of the new musical, Missing: Wynter by Billy Butler (Gay Bride of Frankenstein). It will premiere as a part of The Players' Ring Theatre 2014/15 season. Missing: Wynter is a modern cautionary tale somewhere between Cervantes and Brothers Grimm; about a young girl who disappears without a trace, her father's struggle to find her, and ultimately, himself. It's a heart wrenching story of love, hope, and living.
