Berkeley's Aurora Theatre Company announces a special limited engagement,OLGA: a farewell concert, a devised piece created by Beth Wilmurt (The Letters, The Eccentricities of a Nightingale,Jack Goes Boating, Bosoms and Neglect, and Salome.) and Her Band, commissioned by Aurora as part of the company'sOriginate + Generate (O+G) new works initiative to promote the creation of forward-looking theater.

As a part of its mission to develop new plays and playwrights, Capital Stage presents its ninth annual new works festival PLAYWRIGHTS REVOLUTION. This year Capital Stage's reading committee reviewed over 350 script submissions from playwrights across the world. This week's festival features the four finalists. From July 25 - 28 these plays will be presented at staged readings by local professional actors and directors at the Capital Stage studios in the E. Claire Raley Studios for the Performing Arts. Capital Stage invites you to be a part of the development of the world's newest plays!

The Tacoma theater community is coming together to support the victims of the Orlando massacre with a special one night only staged reading of The Laramie Project on Sunday, June 26th at 7:30pm. The event will be held at Tacoma Little Theatre. The brainchild of Rachel Fitzgerald, this benefit came from a simple question. 'What can I do?'

Critics and audiences agree -- THE LYONS roars! Aurora Theatre Company announces that it will add an additional six performances of the Bay Area Premiere of Nicky Silver's (Pterodactyls, Raised in Captivity) scathingly funny Broadway hit THE LYONS.

Due to popular pre-sale demand, Aurora Theatre Company announces that it will again extend Lanford Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning TALLEY'S FOLLY, the second fully staged production to be performed in the company's second stage performance space, Harry's UpStage.

Happy New Year! Cinnabar Theater, the beloved professional theater in Sonoma County, kicks off 2015 with two extended shows. Edith Piaf: Beneath Paris Skies made its world premiere on New Year's Eve and has proven so popular that it's added an extra week. Cinnabar's next show, I Am My Own Wife, won't even open until February 6 -- but tickets are selling so fast that it's been extended as well!

Building on its recent success, Cinnabar Theater in Petaluma has expanded its season of professional shows to include a sixth production: in February, Sonoma County's beloved professional theater presents I Am My Own Wife for six performances only. Peter Callender (The Soldier's Tale, Permanent Collection), Dan Hiatt (Wittenberg, The Arsonists), Leontyne Mbele-Mbong (African-American Shakespeare Company, Lamplighters), and Adrian Roberts (TheatreWorks, California Shakespeare Theater).
