The Sound of Music is coming to Stoke-on-Trent for a three week run in February 2011, as The Regent Theatre's flagship show in its newly unveiled Autumn/Winter season for 2010/2011.

Now, just over ten years on, they have filled more column inches than they can count, been the subject of a smash hit movie and the record breaking stage production which is currently touring the UK after a triumphant run in London's West End.

Anne Charleston, best-known for her role as ‘Madge' in 'Neighbours', rejoins the cast of 'CALENDAR GIRLS' in the role of ‘Jessie - Miss January' after receiving critical acclaim in the role earlier this year. The current cast, which includes Elaine C Smith, Denise Black, Jennifer Ellison, Julia Hills, Rachel Lumberg and Ruth Madoc, are happy to welcome Anne back to the 'CALENDAR GIRLS' fold.

BroadwayWorld brings you the highlights from a meeting of two Elle's - Laura Bell Bundy, Tony-nominated star of Broadway's LEGALLY BLONDE from 2007 to 2008, and Sheridan Smith, who has played the bubbly Elle Woods on the West End since December 2009.

As previously reported and confirmed today by Whatsonstage.com, West End's 'Elle Woods' and 'Paulette,' Sheridan Smith and Jill Halfpenny, respectively, will be departing LEGALLY BLONDE on October 23, 2010. It has been rumored that Jennifer Ellison was in talks to take over the role of Elle, in addition to Broadway's original Elle Woods, Laura Bell Bundy.

The enormously successful, now international, tour of 'CALENDAR GIRLS', currently booking through July, will then continue with a third cast who will open in the Welsh capital on 27 July.

Actress Sheridan Smith will depart the West End's LEGALLY BLONDE on October 23, whatsonstage.com reports. Smith, who plays Elle Woods, made the announcement via her twitter account. As previously reported on BroadwayWorld, Jennifer Ellison is being considered to replaced Smith; however, no official announcement has been made.
