Rehearsals begin in London today for the highly anticipated new West End musical An American in Paris. Christopher Wheeldon's stunning reinvention of the Oscar winning film (that starred Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron) features the sublime music and lyrics of George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin and a new book by Craig Lucas.

After a smash-hit critically acclaimed run at The King's Head Theatre in 2016, Strangers In Between, the award-winning Australian play written by Tommy Murphy, is back by popular demand returning to kick off the 2017 season from 10 January to 4 February, with press night on 11 January.

Glass panels, windows and boxes on stage should always be treated with mistrust. There can be no clearer indication of blood to come - a literal trigger warning, a physical spatter alert. Think of the gorgeous glass house of Benedict Andrews's 2011 The Return of Ulysses for ENO just waiting to be smeared and smudged, or of Gloucester restrained in his glass prison in the RSC's recent Lear just waiting for that moment. We don't have long to wait for the gore in Gerard Jones's Oreste. Barely ten seconds into the overture blood spurts and audience gasps. It's the first and final shock of a production that unfolds thereafter with tedious and maddening inevitability.

Directly following celebrated engagements in Paris and New York, this critically acclaimed and multi award-winning new musical bursts into life in the West End from Saturday 4 March 2017 with the official opening night on Tuesday 21 March 2017 at the Dominion Theatre. 

Executive Producers Roy Nevans and John Lant, in association with Edmund Gaynes, have announced the extention of 2 By Tennessee Williams: 27 WAGONS FULL OF COTTON starring Kathryn Luce Garfunkel and KINGDOM OF EARTH. Both plays are directed by Marilyn Fried and will run now through October 1st.

Write Act Repertory's Producing Artistic Director John Lant has announced the East Coast premiere of PILLARS OF NEW YORK, a new musical with book, lyrics and music by Michael Antin, and directed by Jim Blanchette will close as scheduled on Wednesday, September 7th. The final performances are Tuesday, September 6th and Wednesday, September 7th at 7:00 pm.
