Roundabout Theatre Company Announces Fourth Annual Casino Night

On Monday, May 7, Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) will host their fourth annual Casino Night, at the American Airlines Theatre (227 W. 42nd St). All proceeds benefit Roundabout Theatre Company's many programs, including the Education programs, the Theatrical Workforce Development Program and Artist Residencies.

Len Cariou & Liz Robertson, Original Stars, Reunite in DANCE A LITTLE CLOSER Concert

Len Cariou and Liz Robertson, stars of the original Broadway production of Dance A Little Closer, the Charles Strouse and Alan Jay Lerner musical, have joined the cast of its previously announced concert adaptation, on Monday, April 16 at 7 pm at the Green Room 42. Presented in honor of composer Charles Strouse's 90th birthday by the Second Act Series, the stars will perform two songs they originated in the legendary, infamous and short-lived Broadway production. The abridged concert will also include never-before-heard songs cut during the show's workshop period.

With book and lyrics by Quiara Alegria Hudes, music and lyrics by Erin McKeown, and choreography by Danny Mefford, the new musical is directed by Public Theater Resident Director and Founder of Public Works Lear deBessonet. Part of The Public's Astor Anniversary Season at their landmark downtown home on Lafayette Street, celebrating 50 years of new work at 425 Lafayette Street and the 50th Anniversary of HAIR, the musical will now run an additional week through Sunday, May 13.

GOLDSTEIN, the new musical about family, with music and lyrics by Michael Roberts and a book by Charlie Schulman, opened just last night at the Actors Temple Theatre (339 West 47 St -between 8th and 9th Avenues), where it is settled in for an open-ended run. The musical will open on Thursday, April 5th. GOLDSTEIN is directed by Brad Rouse, and choreographed by Sarah O'Gleby.

According to Variety, Luis Fonsi's global hit “Despacito” has broken a new digital record. The official video of the catchy Spanish-language track, featuring Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee, on Wednesday surpassed 5 billion views on YouTube — becoming the first video in the platform's history to hit that watermark.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) announces five productions as part of its complete 2018/19 Season, and the first production of their 2019/20 Season.
