Multi award-winning actress Kathleen Chalfant, known for her performance in Wit Off-Broadway, the Broadway productions of M. Butterfly, Angels in America and Racing Demon, and screen credits The Affair and House of Cards, will lead a stellar cast of actors that features an array of Broadway veterans, many making their debuts at Actors Theatre. For Peter Pan on her 70th birthday was commissioned by Actors Theatre of Louisville and will receive its world premiere during the 40th Humana Festival of New American Plays, March 8- April 10, 2016. The production will be directed by Les Waters.
Actors Theatre of Louisville's Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein announce that the theatre is the recipient of a major grant awarded from The Roy Cockrum Foundation in support of the theatre's prestigious Apprentice/Intern Company. The award will support grants over the next ten years for each apprentice and intern during the nine-month program, and provides year-round employment for the program's leadership. The Apprentice/Intern Company offers total immersion into the world of a major American regional theatre and a unique combination of performance, training, observation and networking.

The 51st Season lineup will include a world-premiere reimagining of Love's Labour's Lost, the musical The Last Five Years, a production of Nina Raine's emotionally-charged drama Tribes, award-winning playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney's The Brothers Size, and the return of Naomi Iizuka's At the Vanishing Point-a beautifully-observed portrait of Butchertown with an original score by Ben Sollee. From the exhilaration of infatuation to the heart-wrenching tale of lost love, from one person's fight to find a voice to the dreams and voices of an entire community, the lineup features powerful stories and some of the most exciting artists working in theatre today.

The Christians, which was commissioned by Actors Theatre of Louisville, will be directed by Les Waters and performed in the Pamela Brown Auditorium. The production will begin previews on March 4, open on March 6 and run through April 6, 2014.
On April 29th at New York City's Pierre Hotel, the National Corporate Theatre Fund (NCTF) honored Vanessa Williams, American Express and five resident theatres celebrating their 50th anniversary - Actors Theatre of Louisville, Guthrie Theater, Hartford Stage, Seattle Repertory Theatre and Trinity Repertory Company - at NCTF's annual Chairman's Awards Gala.
