Rattlestick Playwrights Theater announces the 2015 F*ck!ng Good Plays (festival, VI). The festival, to be presented at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place - off 7th Avenue South between West 11th & Perry Streets) will begin Saturday, December 5th, and continue thru Saturday, December 20th. The festival will kick off with readings of new plays by today's hottest playwrights! Playwrights include: Keith Josef Adkins, Dan Aibel, Dipika Guha, Mary Hamilton, Basil Kreimendahl, Laura Marks, Lucy Thurber, and Emily Zemba. The festival will then continue with Rattlestick's annual Theater Jam ending with a workshop production of Daniel Talbott's play, What Happened When.

Theaterlab presents True Believer, a new play about identity, radicalism, and the passion of youth by Asa Merritt. Joshua Kahan Brody directs Kersti Bryan* in a solo performance with original live music by Bay Bryan. Thirteen performances will be staged at Theaterlab, 357 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor in NYC from tonight, April 17-May 9, 2015.

At a benefit event held for New Georges on Sunday, September 22, Producing Artistic Director Susan Bernfield and board member Michael Osso announced a new program at New Georges, The Audrey Residencies, and the artists and projects chosen for 2013-14, the program's inaugural year. Sunday's event also featured the premiere showing of a video about New Georges produced by tdf for tdfSTAGES' Meet the Theatre series and directed by Mark Blankenship, tdf's online content editor, to be released in early November.

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) have announced plans for its 2013 FreshPlay Festival, featuring plays written by members of the MCC Theater Youth Company, a free, after-school program of New York City high school students interested in exploring self-expression and developing their acting and dramatic writing skills. The brainchild of playwright Dael Orlandersmith, the all-day event will take place at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place - off Seventh Avenue South between West 11th & Perry Streets) tonight, June 2nd.

The brainchild of playwright Dael Orlandersmith, the all-day event will take place at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place - off Seventh Avenue South between West 11th & Perry Streets) on Sunday, June 2nd. Doors will open at 1:30pm. There is a $10 suggested admission charge (cash only) for all day entry - and includes one free beer. There will be a raffle drawing for amazing prizes. Patrons are free to come and go as they please and attend any - or all-of the festival's many offerings. All proceeds will benefit Rattlestick's upcoming 2013-14 season.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Middle Voice Theater Company has announced a production of William Inge's Bus Stop, directed By Jenna Worsham, which opens tonight, March 27 and runs until Sunday, March 31 at the Producers' Club's Royal Theater.
