(UMC), in a collaboration with the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, has released a recording of three songs from the little-known 1947 musical comedy Barefoot Boy With Cheek featuring performances by Jenn Colella (Chaplin, Closer Than Ever), Max von Essen (Evita, Death Takes a Holiday) and Robert Lenzi (South Pacific, Hello Again).

Perfect Mothers plays at The Theatre at Studio Row, 410 West 42nd Street, (between 9th and 10th Avenues). The recent Off-Broadway revival of Richard Maltby, Jr. and David Shire's celebrated and cherished revue CLOSER THAN EVER has been preserved via cast album courtesy of JAY Records and a preview track of the new disc and digital download has been released.

The Off Broadway Alliance, the organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents and marketing firms, presented the 3rd annual Off Broadway Alliance Awards last night, June 18th at Sardi's. UMC's recordings will be released for free digital download on the New York Public Library's website as part of its Musical of the Month blog series, which recently featured UMC's reconstruction of the Barefoot Boy libretto. The musical has never received a cast album.

No Rules Theatre Company, now in their 4th Season, will begin residency at Signature Theatre with Peter Shaffer's 'Black Comedy' tonight, February 7 - March 2, 2013.

Resonance Ensemble has announced the cast for their 10th anniversary season "Connecting Circuits" featuring two shows in rep, a classic play and new play with resonating themes. This season includes the classic 1920 play R.U.R. by Karel ?apek, adapted by Lee Eric Shackleford, directed by Valentina Fratti in rep with THE TRUTH QUOTIENT, by award-winning playwright Richard Manley, directed By Eric Parness. The season will run tonight, January 9 - February 2, 2013 at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42 Street).

The new musical CHAPLIN, depicting the life of film icon Charlie Chaplin, concludes its Broadway run today, January 6, at the Barrymore Theatre, after 24 previews and 136 regular performances. The new musical CHAPLIN will be produced in São Paulo, Brazil at the Teatro Procópio Ferreira in April 2014 by Chaim XYZ Produções. The current Broadway production will play its final performance at the Barrymore Theatre on Sunday, January 6, 2013.

Earlier this week, Transport Group presented GIMME A BREAK! an evening of performances honoring Christian Borle, Sue Frost, and Paul Huntley at it's benefit gala at the Asia Society and Museum, 725 Park Avenue. The GIMME A BREAK! performance featured Broadway stars sharing their 'big break' moments in story and song.

Rob McClure, the star of Broadway's CHAPLIN, has received the Clive Barnes Foundation Award in Theater for his outstanding performance as Charlie Chaplin it was announced today at a ceremony at the Walter Reade Theatre. The awards were established by Barnes' widow Valerie Taylor-Barnes to honor outstanding young talents from the worlds of theatre and dance.

Transport Group has announced that, Jenn Colella, Tyne Daly, Montego Glover, Ann Harada, Elizabeth Stanley, and Sally Wilfert will perform at its gala benefit GIMME A BREAK! honoring Christian Borle, Sue Frost, and Paul Huntley tonight, December 10, 2012 at the Asia Society and Museum, 725 Park Avenue. The evening will be hosted by Julie Halston and will feature a special performance by the cast of the Tony-winning Peter and the Starcatcher.
