TV: First Look at Highlights of AUSTEN'S PRIDE: A NEW MUSICAL OF PRIDE AND PREJUDICE at Finger Lakes

The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival / Merry-Go-Round Playhouse Inc., headquartered in Auburn, N.Y., presents "Austen's Pride: A New Musical of Pride and Prejudice" at Nazareth College Arts Center's Callahan Theater from July 13- 24 as part of its regional expansion project and dynamic 2016 season.  BroadwayWorld has a first look at highlights of the production below!

Jeffry Denman to Launch New Theatrical Company, Denman Theatre & Dance Co

Jeffry Denman, has announced the launch of his brand new theatrical company, Denman Theatre & Dance Co., a company dedicated to blending the multi-faceted aspects of theater with movement and dance as its primary story telling device.  The announcement took place yesterday at THE VINE, a Laurent Tourondel restaurant located inside the Eventi Hotel, where a launch party was held to celebrate the event. 

Lisa Howard, Beth Leavel and More Set for AMERICAN SHOWSTOPPERS Tribute to Cole Porter Tonight

AMERICAN SHOWSTOPPERS, featuring Fred Barton & His Orchestra in 'An Evening with Cole Porter', stars a cast of today's best Broadway performers. The concerts take place at Pace University's Schimmel Center in New York tonight, March 4 at 7:30 PM and then Kingsborough Community College's 'On Stage at Kingsborough' in Brooklyn tomorrow, March 5 at 8:00 PM.

Beth Leavel & More to Join American Showstoppers in Honoring Cole Porter

AMERICAN SHOWSTOPPERS - featuring Fred Barton & His Orchestra and starring a cast of today's best Broadway performers - will present "An Evening with Cole Porter" at Pace University's Schimmel Center in New York on Friday, March 4 at 7:30 PM and then Kingsborough Community College's Goldstein Center in Brooklyn on Saturday, March 5 at 8:00 PM.  The cast of outstanding Broadway performers includes Beth Leavel (Tony Award winner for The Drowsy Chaperone), Sean McGibbon, Paula Leggett Chase, Damon Kirsche, Karen Murphy and Jesse Luttrell in addition to the Scott Thompson Dancers. The show is produced, orchestrated, conducted and hosted by Fred Barton with direction and choreography by Scott Thompson.

WHITE CHRISTMAS Opens Tonight at The Music Hall

Tonight, Irving Berlin's White Christmas the Broadway musical opens at The Music Hall in downtown Portsmouth. Presented in a partnership between The Music Hall and the Ogunquit Playhouse, this production marks the largest show on The Music Hall's stage and the largest show of Ogunquit's season. This delightful classic stars Broadway veteran Jeffry Denman reprising his role as Phil Davis, which he played to critical acclaim on Broadway, and Broadway's Joey Sorge, who starred in the Ogunquit production of Nice Work If You Can Get It earlier this season, as Bob Wallace. The singing Haynes sisters are played by Broadway actresses Kate Loprest as Betty, and Vanessa Sonon as Judy. Complete with magical sets and iconic songs, the show is a Christmas Card come to life.

Broadway Vets to Lead Irving Berlin's WHITE CHRISTMAS at The Music Hall & Ogunquit Playhouse

The Music Hall and the Ogunquit Playhouse are pleased to announce four Broadway veterans to star in the beloved holiday classic White Christmas at The Music Hall in Portsmouth, December 9 to 20. Jeffry Denman will reprise his role as Phil Davis, which he played to critical acclaim on Broadway, Joey Sorge will play Bob Wallace, Kate Loprest debuts as Betty Haynes, and Vanessa Sonon plays Judy Haynes in this heartwarming musical adaptation that features the book by David Ives and Paul Blake and seventeen Irving Berlin songs including 'Blue Skies,' 'Sisters,' 'Count Your Blessings,' and the perennial favorite, 'White Christmas.'

BWW Review: The Engeman's Exquisite WEST SIDE STORY

Celebrating their 50th show, The John W. Engeman Theatre of Northport has mounted a truly exquisite production of the iconic Tony winning musical West Side Story. The tale, of course, centers on Maria and Tony in a modern day – 1957 modern day - Romeo and Juliet situation. Tony and his friends have formed The Jets, though when we meet Tony, he has since left the gang, while their arch enemies, The Sharks, is headed up by Maria's brother, Bernardo portrayed by Nikko Kimzin. Maria and Tony meet at a school dance and fall in love - forbidden in their worlds.
