The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival / Merry-Go-Round Playhouse Inc., headquartered in Auburn, N.Y., presents "Austen's Pride: A New Musical of Pride and Prejudice" at Nazareth College Arts Center's Callahan Theater from July 13- 24 as part of its regional expansion project and dynamic 2016 season. BroadwayWorld has a first look at highlights of the production below!

Featuring music, lyrics and book written by Lindsay Warren Baker and Amanda Jacobs, "Austen's Pride: A New Musical of Pride and Prejudice" gives audiences a glimpse into the world of "Pride and Prejudice" through author Jane Austen's eyes. The love story of Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy springs to life when the author re-imagines the world of her novel 15 years before it was published. This new musical tells the story of Austen's empowering journey to create the literary masterpiece the world knows today.

The show will be directed by Igor Goldin, with music direction by Ian Weinberger and choreography by Jeffry Denman, a Buffalo native.
