The Front Page, Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur's classic 1928 comedy set in the world of the Chicago newspaper business, begins previews on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 with an official opening set for October 20. Directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien, the show will play a limited engagement through Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 W. 44th Street). On Sunday June 12th the Palm West's Tony Viewing Party was hosted by Tony Award winner Christian Hoff, who earned the Best Featured Actor in a Musical Award in 2006 for his portrayal of Tommy DeVito in Jersey Boys. The Lortel Awards were distributed in a ceremony at NYU Skirball Center hosted byZachary Levi, star of Broadway's She Loves Me. This year's event was once again a benefit for The Actors Fund. Occasionally we venture beyond the borders of Ventura County to see what is going on in Los Angeles, and on this occasion, we couldn't resist taking in a performance of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, which is currently playing at the Ahmanson Theatre downtown. The 2013 show won Tonys for Best Musical and Best Book of a Musical after its initial Broadway run and is now currently on its first national tour.
