TheatreSouth is proud to bring the compelling legal drama, A Class Act, to the Pompano Beach Cultural Center. Written by Norman Shabel, this play focuses on a trio of lawyers who accuse General Chemical Corporation of polluting water across the country through cancer-causing factory runoff. These attorneys are hoping for a big payoff from the deep pockets of the corporation, while the 'suits' at the latter plan to use blackmail as leverage to pay as little as possible.
On Saturday, November 16, Georgia Shakespeare hosted the 2013 Bard's Bash: All the Word's a Stage at Zoo Atlanta's Ford Pavilion. Over 200 guests arrived decked-out in 'black, silver, and purple glamour.' The evening featured entertainment by Big Mike Geier, Dames Aflame, Los Angeles-based performer and cult favorite Christine Deaver, styling sessions with Jaye Lish and Edie Cheezburger, spinning by DJ Yvonne Monet, and a special appearance by Puddles Pity Party, who performed his cover of Lorde's 'Royals,' which has gotten over a million hits on You Tube.
