Ground Floor Theatre has announced the cast for Fun Home running December 6-22, 2018. One of the most groundbreaking productions ever to hit Broadway, Fun Home is the winner of five 2015 Tony Awards including Best Musical. Based on Alison Bechdel's best-selling graphic memoir, Fun Home features music by Jeanine Tesori, book and lyrics by Lisa Kron. As the first theatre in Austin to produce the Tony Award winning musical, Ground Floor Theatre has cast Sandra Mae Frank as Joan, Broadway veteran (Spring Awakening) and a deaf actress, integrating American Sign Language into this musical.

GREAT EXPECTATIONS is Charles Dickens' thirteenth novel and depicts the personal growth and development of an orphan nicknamed Pip. It is Dickens's second novel, after David Copperfield, to be fully narrated in the first person. The novel was first published as a serial in Dickens's weekly periodical All the Year Round, from 1 December 1860 to August 1861. In October 1861, Chapman and Hall published the novel in three volumes. It has been adapted into a multitude of films, television programs and stage productions. The adaptation by Barbara Field is currently on stage at The Vortex as produced by Different Stages.

The West Wing's Melissa Fitzgerald, Broadway actor Heath Saunders, Emery Battis Award-winner Victoria Frings and Ken Clark, currently playing King Arthur in Camelot at STC, recently joined Members of Congress and notable Washingtonians onto the stage at Sidney Harman Hall to perform in Will on the Hill. Now in its sixteenth year, the much-loved bipartisan event took place on June 11 and raised $500,000 for the theatre's education and community outreach programs.
To top off its 38th season, Wild Swan Theater will present an original musical adaptation of L. Frank Baum's much loved fantasy, The Wizard of Oz. Join Dorothy as she travels the yellow brick road to the fabled Emerald City with her new friends the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman and the Cowardly Lion. Talented playwright Jeff Duncan, known throughout the region for both his adult and children's plays, was more than up to the challenge of creating this special production just for Wild Swan. Brian E. Buckner has written whimsical and lively music to go with the 13 original songs created especially for this production.
