The St. Bart's Players presents Company!

A reading of a brand new musical entitled Peter & I will be held on August 4th at Ripley Grier Studios. Peter & I stars Chris Dwan, Julia Murney (Wild Party, Wicked), Jack Noseworthy (Sweet Smell of Success, A Chorus Line), Emily Padgett (Rock of Ages, Grease), Constantine Rousouli (Hairspray, Wicked), and Lucas Steele (Three Penny Opera, The Kid). The ensemble includes Kimberly Burns, Ben Hart, Geoffrey Kidwell, Jeff Leatherwood, Sharon Taylor, and Hernando Umana. Book and lyrics for Peter & I were written by Matte O'Brien who will also direct the show. Music was composed by Matt Vinson. O'Brien's most recent work includes the Whoopi Goldberg produced White Noise at the Royal George in Chicago and the Le Petite Theatre in New Orleans. Amanda Morton (16 Days) is the Musical Director for the piece.

The show is making its Long Island premiere, after running for an astounding 2,032 performances over the course of 5 years in New York City and winning the 2005 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical. Book by Kevin Del Aguila with music and lyrics by Gary Adler & Michael Patrick Walker. Conceived by Marc Kessler & Ken Davenport. Altar Boyz has touring productions all over the world, throughout the United States, Korea, Hungary, Finland, Australia, Montreal, and the Philippines.

Theater Aspen received an award for Outstanding Regional Theatre at the 4th Annual Henry Awards ceremony held at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts on Monday June 29th. Artistic Director Paige Price accepted the award, given by the Colorado Theatre Guild, which was founded in 1976 and boasts 250 members.
