Dundalk Community Theatre kicks of its 41st season with a blast from the past, Leader of the Pack. Director/Choreographer Tom Wyatt transports the audience back the 1960's to experience the life and music of Ellie Greenwich. Greenwich songs include some of the most popular songs of that decade: 'Chapel of Love', 'Be My Baby', 'And Then He Kissed Me', and 'Da Do Ron Ron' to name a few. The show runs from today, October 24 to November 2.

You may not recognize her name, but if you know anything about rock and roll in the mid 1960s, you'll know her songs. Ellie Greenwich wrote or co-wrote many of the songs that became hit records for popular vocal groups produced by Phil Spector and his famous Wall of Sound technique and the legendary production team of Lieber and Stoller. Greenwich's rise from aspiring singer-songwriter and college student from Long Island to writing some of rock and roll's most iconic hits is portrayed in the musical Leader of the Pack, playing at Totem Pole Playhouse from August 20 through September 1.

Back for its sixth summer, the Fordham Alumni Company will for the first time host a weekend of film screenings created by Fordham Alumni. The sister program to the company's FRESH ART festival the weekend before, The CANNED Art weekend showcases work Fordham Alumni have finished creating, saved for prosperity in the can. A variety of feature length and short films, documentaries, as well as web-series and sketches will be shown. All screenings will be presented at the Wild Project (195 E. 3rd St., NYC). Admission is $5 per film. In addition, audience members can purchase a $12 “RamPass” to see 3 or more films. To purchase tickets in advance visit www.thewildproject.com.
