Kicking-off Adirondack Theatre Festival's (ATF) 22nd summer season of professional theatre is ISLAND SONG. Performances will be held at the Charles R. Today, Berkeley Repertory Theatre revealed that Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' Obie Award- winning play, An Octoroon, will be the seventh and final production in its upcoming 2016-17 subscription season. In a wry, spirited quest to 'not go gently' into a retirement home, Alexandra barricades herself in her brownstone with enough homemade Molotov cocktails to blow the entire block sky-high as she negotiates the terms of her future with a long-estranged son who has battles of his own. The Velocity of Autumn was declared 'Wickedly funny and wonderfully touching' by Broadway World and 'A tale that could resonate with a broad range of audiences as it touches on a sobering dilemma faced by families every day' by Variety. Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced today a dynamic collection of shows for its 49th season. Berkeley Rep's Michael Leibert Artistic Director, Tony Taccone, revealed four of the seven shows selected for the 2016-17 subscription programming.

Roundabout Theatre Company has confirmed the lineup for its fifth annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series this morning, a five-night event that includes nightly readings of new works written and directed by emerging artists, as well as curtain speeches by Roundabout Underground artist alumni and post-show receptions. The Reading Series will feature new works by Ben Steinfeld, Alexander Gemignani, Jireh Breon Holder, Sylvia Khoury, Martin Zimmerman and Jessica Moss.

Roundabout Theatre Company presents the Roundabout Underground world-premiere production of Ugly Lies the Bone by Lindsey Ferrentino, directed by Patricia McGregor, as part of the 50th Anniversary Season. The cast features Karron Graves (Kacie), Mamie Gummer (Jess), Caitlin O'Connell (Voice / Their Mom), Chris Stack (Stevie) and Haynes Thigpen (Kelvin). Roundabout welcomes back Mamie Gummer, who made her New York stage debut in Roundabout's 2005 production of Mr. Marmalade. The world premiere of Ugly Lies the Bone opened off-Broadway last night, October 13, 2015 at the Black Box Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). This is a limited engagement through Sunday, November 22, 2015.
