On Thursday evening, The New York Women's Foundation (NYWF) held its annual Fall Gala in The Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel in New York City. The evening's honorees included Ambassador Samantha Power, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations; Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori, creators of the Tony Award-winning musical, FUN HOME, and corporate honoree Citi. TODAY's Hoda Kotb served as the evening's Mistress of Ceremony. The event raised $680,000 which will help to support NYWF's more than 70 women-led, community grantee-partner organizations. On June 20th, The Ellen Hermanson Foundation's founding chairs Emily Levin Esq. and Julie Ratner Ed. D held their 20th annual gala to celebrate their achievements over the past two decades and to honor Andy Sabin for his environmental and philanthropic work. Chaired by Jean Shafiroff and hosted by Fox Meteorologist Audrey Puente, the duo welcomed over 300 guests to photographer, Steven Klein's Westkill Farm in Bridgehampton for a night of dinner and dancing to the sounds of Audrey's brother, Tito Puente Jr. & his 10-piece band. School of American Ballet's Workshop Performance Benefit Raises More Than $890,000

The School of American Ballet's Workshop Performance Benefit 2015 on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 raised more than $890,000 for scholarships and school programs. The evening began with cocktails at 5:30pm in Juilliard's Morse Hall, followed by the performance at 7pm in the Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Lincoln Center, and concluded with a seated dinner at 9pm at the Mandarin Oriental. The evening celebrated the legendary Rudolf Nureyev and commemorated the 20th Anniversary of the Rudolf Nureyev Dance Scholarship.

The gala evening CELEBRATED the 2015 season's outstanding dance and choreography on Broadway and film. School of American Ballet's 2015 Winter Ball Raises Over $1.39 Million

The School of American Ballet's 2015 Winter Ball took place at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater on Monday, March 9, 2015 and raised more than $1.39 million for scholarships and school programs. Legendary French jeweler, Van Cleef & Arpels sponsored the glamorous, black-tie dinner dance for the eighth consecutive year. The evening began with cocktails at 7pm and dinner at 8pm, followed by a student performance choreographed specially for the occasion, and The Encore dessert and dancing. The proceeds from this event enhance every aspect of the School's extraordinary ballet training program, helping to provide more than $1.9 million annually in student scholarships, as well as supporting faculty, maintaining world-class studios and offering vital student programs beyond the classroom.

Goya Los Caprichos Opens at National Arts Club

On Thursday January 8th, the National Arts Club and its Office of Fine Arts, as directed by Dianne B. Bernhard, presented a rare series of etchings and aquatint, Los Caprichos, from the Spanish Master Francisco de Goya. The free exhibition, titled Francisco de Goya y Lucientes: Los Caprichosruns until January 31st.

The incisive images of celebrities, political figures, designers and society's elite filled the walls of the elegant gallery. The worlds of art, fashion, design, theater and media came together for “Reflections: Art & Beauty” a one-night- only exhibition of significant contemporary art works to benefit Robert Wilson's internationally acclaimed arts incubator The Watermill Center. Hosted by Sherle Wagner International, the premier source, world-wide, for luxury bath hardware, and bath accessories and the recently launched Fairweather Magazine dedicated to following La Dolce Vita world-wide, the Vernissage drew over 400 guests to the gorgeous showroom. A magnificent sculpture in painted and chromed steel, “Rev. E. Piscapalian Study” by the renowned John Chamberlain towered over attendees as they arrived and were greeted by Evan Geoffroy, CEO, Sherle Wagner, Alexandra Fairweather and Eric Goodman, co-founders Fairweather Magazine and Pinki Patel of The Watermill Center.

The School of American Ballet's 2014 Winter Ball, in celebration of SAB's 80th Anniversary, took place at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater on Monday, March 3, 2014 and raised more than $1.2 million for scholarships and school programs. Sponsored by legendary French jewelry Maison, Van Cleef & Arpels for the seventh consecutive year, the evening began with cocktails at 7pm and dinner at 8pm, followed by a student performance choreographed specially for the occasion, and The Encore dessert and dancing, sponsored by fifth-generation luxury house, J. Mendel. The proceeds from this event enable SAB to distribute $1.9 million annually in student scholarships as well as support the School's renowned faculty and state-of-the-art facilities at Lincoln Center.

Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH) held its 2014 Vision 2014 Gala on February 25th at Cipriani 42 in New York City. As Dance Theatre of Harlem celebrates its 45th Anniversary, this year's gala was themed 'Live the Moment' and raised $700,000, $75,000 of which resulted from the entertaining live auction conducted by Audrey Smaltz, with the proceeds benefitting the DTH School's Next Generation and Community Engagement Funds. Honorees were Grammy Award-winning recording artist Patti LaBelle with the Arthur Mitchell Vision Award; dance educator and arts advocate Jody Gottfried Arnhold with The Carl and Lily Pforzheimer Foundation Medal; and Goldman, Sachs & Co. senior partner Valentino D. Carlotti with the inaugural Virtuoso Award. The evening's honorary chair was Billy Joel (not in attendance). Scroll down for photos!
