Arts Project and TWEED Music Series present REMEMBER: THE SONGS OF HARRY NILSSON - a tribute to one of the latter 20th Century's greatest singer/songwriters -- on Wednesday, October 12 at 8:00pm at Theatre 80 (80 St. Marks Place) in Manhattan, as part of HOWL! ARTS PROJECT 2011. Carol Lipnik curates the evening directed by Kevin Malony, with musical direction by Charly Roth.

I forgot which one said it, Donny or Marie, but Feinstein's at Loews Regency had a 'Little Bit of Country' last night. For one night only, Daryl Glenn & Jo Lynn Burks brought their entertaining musical satire of Robert Altman's movie 'Nashville' to the cabaret stage usually inhabited by the American Songbooks most skilled performers, (Michael Feinstein & Lina Eder currently residing).

Forestburgh Playhouse Presents IDAHO, 6/1-12

The Forestburgh Theatre Arts Center at the Forestburgh Playhouse announced today that it will open its Main Stage 2011 season with the original musical IDAHO!, winner of the Best of Fest Audience Prize at the New York Musical Theater Festival in 2008. Starring Austin Miller ('Grease: You're The One That I Want'), Jessica Hershberg (Little House on the Prairie), and Paul Vogt (Broadway's Hairspray, 'MadTV'), the original musical, with a book and lyrics by Buddy Sheffield and music by Sheffield and Keith Thompson will run at the Forestburgh Playhouse from June 1st through 12th. IDAHO! will be directed by Matt Lenz (Associate Director of Broadway's Hairspray and Catch Me If You Can).
