Producers Andrew Rothkin and Jay Michaels have come together to produce a series of scary plays befitting the season. This trick or treat bag is filled with prominent artists, guest directors, and premieres. Joseph Koch of Manhattan's memorabilia haven Forbidden Planet and Brooklyn's Warehouse of Wonder (more than 1,000,000 comic books and other memorabilia) is supplying vintage giveaways and prizes. Illustrator Songe Riddle created original poster artwork for the event... 'alas poor... Yorick?'

John Chatterton's venerable Midtown International Theatre Festival once again earned it name with a staged reading of a new play by emerging playwright Mohammed Saad Ali. The brusquely titled 'OLD MEN ARE FULL OF S**T' tells the story of Ismail, a Pakistani whose been in America for more than 20 years (played with great humor and biting wit by Jay Paranada) but, because of an error in paperwork might be deported as an illegal immigrant to Pakistan, a place he left as a baby.

The M's second psychic night was a rousing success. With lines out the door for tarot card readings, it was a good thing that Mary Elizabeth Micari invited guest reader Giovanni Conti to join her at the tables. People came from as near as down the block and as far as Long Island to learn what was in the cards for them from experienced readers, Mary and Giovanni. 'We were excited to come, so we made a night of it, we went to one of the restaurants here and then after, we went for drinks ... I miss Brooklyn!' exclaimed Gina Ocello.

The M Center, an intimate studio designed to provide classes and private lessons in all forms of creative and lively arts and holistic healing and wellness, hosted a gala night, Saturday, November 30. People spilled into the streets from out of the doors of the little shop on 83rd off Fifth Avenue while inside, singing was heard, home-baked goodies were served, and a good time was had by all.
