JACK KLEINSINGER Presents Highlights In JAZZ New York's Longest Running Jazz Concert Series 37th Season. The Final Year!

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed 'Best of New York' by New York Magazine, and 'an invaluable New York institution' by The New York Post, has updated their Winter/Spring 2010 schedule.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed 'Best of New York' by New York Magazine and 'an invaluable New York institution' by The New York Post, will continue its Winter 2010 season with Broadway star, MAUREEN MCGOVERN for two shows on January 8. For her show at Feinstein's, Ms. McGovern will give an encore presentation of 'A Long and Winding Road - The Concert.' Her critically acclaimed tribute to iconic singer/songwriters Jimmy Webb, Laura Nyro, James Taylor, Carole King, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell and more, includes 60's classics such as 'By the Time I Get to Phoenix', 'And When I Die', 'Fire and Rain' and 'Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?' Both shows, which feature Musical Director Jeffrey Harris and bassist Jay Leonhart, will take place at the Loews Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

As the 21st Century chugs along toward completing its first decade, perhaps Broadway's new role in American theatre with emerge as the place where talented composers and lyricists with interesting projects will premiere their less-inspired shows while their exciting, adventurous and better-written work continues to hide in the under-publicized shadows of Off- and Off-Off Broadway, festivals and the occasional cabaret appearance.  Just as Legally Blonde, the Broadway debut of composer/lyricists Lawrence O'Keefe (Bat Boy, Sarah, Plain and Tall) and Nell Benjamin (Pirates!, Sarah, Plain and Tall) doesn't match the quality of their Off-Broadway and regional work, last season composer Tom Kitt made his first main stem appearance with the catchy-tuned and enjoyable, but not especially notable, High Fidelity while musical theatre lovers in the know were anxiously awaiting a production of Feeling Electric, his substantially superior collaboration with bookwriter/lyricist Brian Yorkey, first seen at the 2005 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Acclaimed jazz stylist Jane Scheckter will make her Metropolitan Room debut with her all new show, 'Play A Simple Melody - A Tribute to Irving Berlin,' with four shows only on Tuesday, Sept. 1, Wednesday, Sept. 2, Tuesday, Sept. 8 and Saturday, Sept 13. All shows are at 7:00 except Sept. 2 which is at 7:30. Tedd Firth will be musical director with Tom Hubbard on bass and Peter Grant on drums.
