The nominations for the Olivier Awards 2016 with MasterCard, the most prestigious event in the UK's theatrical calendar, were announced today (Monday 29 February) by past winners Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton at Rosewood London, the awards' official hotel partner.

BalletBoyz have announced they will tour their brand new production Life, which will receive its world premiere at London's Sadler's Wells in April 2016.  The show features new commissions by Javier de Frutos and Pontus Lidberg. After opening at Sadler's Wells where BalletBoyz are Associate Artists, the production will embark on a UK tour, followed by a tour of the USA in 2017. Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has announced full casting for Anton Chekhov's The Seagull, which begins rehearsals today, Monday 11 May. Celebrated as one of the most important plays of the nineteenth century, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre have commissioned a new version by Torben Betts to mark the 120th Anniversary of Chekhov's original play. The Seagull will run at the iconic theatre from 19 June - 11 July.
