Chris Isaacson Presents and Upright Cabaret have announced that Broadway, film and television star Jeremy Jordan will make his Los Angeles solo concert debut on Monday, May 5 at the Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood. There will be two shows only at 7:30pm and 10pm; cocktail and dinner service begin at 6pm.

The Last 5 Years is a treasure of the American musical theater, the quintessential chamber musical. Jason Robert Brown's mini-masterpiece boasts but two performers, a small musical ensemble, a challenging but moving score, and a simple but powerful structure designed to maintain dramatic equilibrium and balance between the characters from start to finish. Not surprisingly, it is often produced (34 productions announced this year - not to mention a film version).

Red Branch Theatre Company (RBTC) will open its sixth mainstage season with The Last Five Years and john & jen in repertory billed under the series title 'The Love/Loss Cycle.' The rave-reviewed Paper Mill Playhouse production of screen-to-stage adaptation HONEYMOON IN VEGAS starring Tony Danza will get a reprise at NYC cabaret hotspot 54 Below tonight.

MCC Theater's annual Miscast gala, one of the most exciting and unique theater events in town, was held earlier this week at the Hammerstein Ballroom. At the event, Broadway's hottest stars performed songs from roles in which they would never be cast. Symphony Space's annual Spring Festival has become one of the season's most keenly awaited events. This year's installment, Sleeping Around: The Cultural Lives of New York's Hotels, may be the most provocative yet. Running from April 26 to May 21, the monthlong festival celebrates New York's landmark hotels, their occupants, and the lengendary boites that nurtured and sustained the evergreen songs and performers of cabaret. Sleeping Around also credits New York's hotels as incubators for film, classical music, and literature, with programs devoted to Andy Warhol, Virgil Thomson, and Dorothy Parker.

Long Wharf Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein and Managing Director Joshua Borenstein, will present The Last Five Years, written and composed by Jason Robert Brown, from May 7 through June 1, 2014 on the Claire Tow Stage in the C. Newton Schenck III Theatre.
