BWW Reviews: THE GRADUATE at Conejo Players Theatre - Not Quite Making The Grade

When one thinks of 'The Graduate', it is the iconic 1967 movie which catapulted Dustin Hoffman into mainstream American culture and solidified both his and Anne Bancroft's positions as some of the greatest performances of the silver screen. While the 2002 Broadway production saw brilliant performances by Jason Biggs and Kathleen Turner giving the stage version equal visions of acting strengths to its audiences.

Community and collaboration are the watchwords of Bristol Riverside Theatre's production of Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People, running tonight, May 12-May 31. Co-directed by Susan D. Atkinson and Amy Kaissar, the high-voltage drama, which concludes BRT's Mainstage Season, features an ensemble of professional actors Keith Baker, Kevin Bergen, Mark Collmer, Brian Brillinger, Laura Giknis, Marc LeVasseur, Shamus Hunter McCarty, P. Brendan Mulvey and Sabrina Proffitt performing alongside Bucks County community members. The production is supported in part by a generous grant from PECO.

Today, April 18th, TDF will host a special reception and performance of The Heidi Chronicles to celebrate the show's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Wendy Wasserstein, and to raise funds for the arts education program she co-founded, TDF's Open Doors. Open Doors, now in its 17th year, is the first arts education program to be awarded a special Tony Honor for 'Excellence in the Theatre.'

Labyrinth Theater Company announces casting and creative team for the world premiere of Melissa Ross's Nice Girl. The production, May 7-June 7, reunites the Labyrinth Theater Company member with director Mimi O'Donnell, who worked together on the 2011 production of Thinner Than Water. Thinner Than Water marked both the playwriting debut of Ross and the directorial debut of O'Donnell.
