The Dramatists Guild Fund, the Dramatists Guild of America, and Northwestern University announce the selection of Aaron Carter, Philip Chernyak, Blake Hackler, Laura Jacqmin, Margaret Lewis, Rohina Malik, Duane Nelsen, Tamara Roberts, Tanya Saracho and Chris White for the first Dramatists Guild Writer's Intensive supported by the Dramatists Guild Fund and hosted by Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

A new musical by Michael Friedman and Daniel Goldstein will be read this Sunday, June 13 at 5:30pm as part of the Huntington Theatre Company's Breaking Ground reading series, held at the Huntington's Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts. The reading is free and open to the public, though reservations are recommended as seating is limited.

The Dramatists Guild Fund, the Dramatists Guild of America, and Northwestern University announce the launch of the out-of-town arm of the successful Dramatists Guild Fellows program, linking emerging playwrights and musical theater writers in a close-knit and safe atmosphere for work and critique, as well as encouraging a sense of community with established New York and Chicago theater professionals.

The Dramatists Guild of America announces the deadline to select the next group of young writers to participate in the Dramatists Guild Fellowship Program. The deadline for submissions to the 2009-1010 Fellowship program is Friday, May 9, 2009. Application requirements can be found on the Dramatists Guild website, www.dramatistsguild.com.
