Producers of the five-time Tony Award nominated hit musical ROCK OF AGES are have announced that direct from the Las Vegas production Carrie St. Louis will make her Broadway debut in the lead role of Sherrie - the 'small town girl' who 'took the midnight train goin' anywhere' - on Monday, April 21, 2014. The film adaptation of Broadway's ROCK OF AGES will be released on Blu-ray/DVD on October 9, 2012. The film, which had its theatrical release on June 15th, stars Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough, Alec Baldwin, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti and Diego Boneta.

Adam Shankman's ROCK OF AGES, which opened last weekend, brought in an additional $8 million in its second weekend, according to Boxofficemojo. As Broadwayworld previously reported, the musical earned $14.4 million in its opening weekend, and a total of $28,763,000. The movie took fifth place (behind Brave, Madagascar 3, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Prometheus), having the sixth-highest opening ever for a musical.
