Rubicon Theatre of Ventura continues the company's commitment to the creation of new works with the organization's 46th mainstage world premiere - a developmental musical production based on Dark of the Moon, the 1945 Broadway play by Howard Richardson and William Berney.

From the playwright and producers of Hit the Wall comes the West Coast premiere of Exit Strategy by acclaimed Chicago playwright Ike Holter. First produced in Chicago in 2014 and then off-Broadway in 2016, this fiery and poetic play will be directed by Deena Selenow. Three preview performances are scheduled for September 26, 27, and 28, and opening is set for Friday, September 29 at 8pm. The run will continue through November 5 in the Davidson/Valentini Theatre.

Julia Rodriguez-Elliott directs Tartuffe in a translation by Richard Wilbur. The world's most famous scoundrel Tartuffe is comic genius in Moliere's tale of naivete, religious hypocrisy, and the triumphant victory of good over evil - and all in rhyming couplets!

Pericles is performed in repertory withThe Guardsman by Ferenc Molnar, October 5 through November 30, and Endgame by Samuel Beckett, October 26 to November 23.
