TOSOS ("The Other Side of Silence") is dedicated to preserving the theatrical heritage of the LGBT community through the development of new plays by emerging artists as well as revivals of established works.

Geva Theatre Center presents the world premiere of Other Than Honorable by Jamie Pachino. Other Than Honorable is directed by Kimberly Senior and will be performed in the Wilson Stage from April 25 - May 21.

The Hub Theatre announced their 2017-18 season today. Featuring two World Premieres that resonate mightily in our current climate; and the return of their Inaugural production. Season 10 continues Hub's record of staging intricate, honest and magical plays.

The Taft State Hospital for 'insane negroes,' an Iranian-American professor who is falsely identified as a terrorist, the pressures of climate change and economic survival in a small Australian coastal town, a complex look at race and love in war-time, a family business suffering from a neighborhood's crack epidemic, and a couple navigating a blizzard, a dead son, and a half-decorated Christmas tree will all be explored this summer atPlayPenn's annual new play conference.

TimeLine Theatre Company announces the final production of its 20th Anniversary 2016-17 season-the Midwest premiere of PARADISE BLUE by Dominique Morisseau, directed by TimeLine Company Member Ron OJ Parson and featuring original music composed by Orbert Davis, the co-founder, conductor and Artistic Director of Chicago Jazz Philharmonic, May 4 - July 23, 2017 (previews April 26 - May 3) at TimeLine Theatre, 615 W. Wellington Ave., Chicago. Press Night is Wednesday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Based on Louisa May Alcott's American classic, this beloved Civil War story of love, family, and independence stands the test of time, coming to life at Villanova Theatre March 28 - April 9, 2017.  

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the world premiere production of Roe written by Lisa Loomer and directed by Bill Rauch. Roe is a co-production with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Arena Stage.

Enchantment abounds as the season continues with the Bay Area Premiere of Marc Norman, Tom Stoppard and Lee Hall's effervescent romance, Shakespeare in Love, coming to MTC this holiday season. In the Elizabethan era, when women are forbidden to become actors, what's a stage-struck lady to do? Lady Viola de Lesseps adores plays, especially those by a young writer named Will Shakespeare, but can only look on longingly as men and boys perform them. Will, meanwhile, has his own struggles: his inspiration fled, his debts and unwritten commissions piling up…until he meets an unknown young player named Thomas Kent, who speaks his words as he's always dreamed they'd be spoken, and a beautiful woman named Viola, who could be just the muse he needs. Under the direction of MTC artistic director Jasson Minadakis, this stage adaptation of the beloved film finds its true essence: a love letter to the power of theatre and the imagination.

Marin Theatre Company's artistic director Jasson Minadakis and managing director Keri Kellerman are thrilled to announce that Dominique Morisseau's Skeleton Crew-winner of MTC's 2014 Sky Cooper New American Play Prize and the third installment in Morisseau's 3-play cycle, The Detroit Projects-will be co-produced with TheatreWorks Silicon Valley as a part of MTC's 51st mainstage season. Award-winning TOSOS, New York City's oldest professional LGBTQ theater, returns with the second full length production of their 2016-17 season with Virginia Baeta's Damaged Goods. The production is directed by Mark Finley (Penny Penniworth/Off-Broadway), and reunites the cast of the 2010 hit FringeNYC/Fringe Encore Series, The Secretaries written by The Five Lesbian Brothers. The critically acclaimed cast won an Overall Excellence Award at FringeNYC.

National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, announces the World Premiere of its 2012-13 Annual Commission, Harbur Gate by Kathleen Cahill, at Core Member Salt Lake Acting Company (SLAC). The Commission, which was awarded to Ms. Cahill in collaboration with Salt Lake Acting Company, will receive its first professional production from February 8-March 12.

Alicia Haymer directs the Nashville premiere of Detroit '67 by Dominique Morisseau, as Actors Bridge Ensemble's 21st Season continues February 24-March 4, at the Darkhorse Theater.

Elephant & Piggie's We Are in a Play! makes its Off-Broadway Premiere from today, January 28, through February 5, 2017, at The New Victory Theater, NYC's only theater dedicated to quality performing arts for kids and families.
