Jon Robertson, dean of Lynn University Conservatory of Music and Philharmonia Guest Conductor, today announced the 2016-2017 concert season.

Lynn University and Producer Jan McArt, director of theatre arts program development, are announcing the upcoming series of Jan McArt's New Play Readings. Under the leadership and guidance of McArt, this program develops new plays by highly acclaimed playwrights through staged readings.

Lynn University and Jan McArt, producer and director of theatre arts program development, today announced that both season subscriptions and individual show tickets are now available for the popular Mabel Mercer Foundation's Cabaret at Lincoln Center comes to Live at Lynn series. Starting in January 2017, five of Manhattan's leading cabaret shows will be presented in Lynn's Amarnick-Goldstein Concert Hall. Season tickets are $150.

BOCA RATON, Florida, July 13, 2016 - Lynn University and Producer Jan McArt, director of theatre arts program development, today announced that both season subscriptions and individual show tickets are available for the popular Libby Dodson's Live at Lynn Theatre Series. 

These are the plays that comprise the 2016-17 'Jan McArt New Play Readings' series, to be presented at Boca Raton's Lynn University beginning Halloween night, Monday, October 31st.

'I was beginning to think it would never happen!,' says award-winning South Florida playwright Tony Finstrom.  'We first scheduled 'WAVE YOUR FLAG!' to debut at 'Jan McArt's New Play Reading Series' on Friday, June 10th.

'That's terrific!,' says producer/actress Jan McArt, from her office at Boca Raton's Lynn University, where she's in charge of theatre development.  'I love that play!' She's responding to the news that Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables has just announced it will present Michael McKeever's 'FINDING MONA LISA' as the fifth production of its 2016-17 Mainstage Season.

Little Daisy Tanner will make her stage debut at Lynn University on Friday, June 10th, at 7:30 PM, when she appears opposite the First Lady of Florida Theatre, Jan McArt, in a staged reading of Tony Finstrom's new play with music, 'WAVE YOUR FLAG!'    

'WAVE YOUR FLAG!,' a new play with music by South Florida playwright Tony Finstrom, scheduled to be presented Wednesday, April 6th, as part of the 'Jan McArt New Play Reading Series' at Boca Raton's Lynn University, has been postponed due to an illness in the cast.

'Jan McArt is my muse!,' says award-winning South Florida playwright Tony Finstrom.  'She has such a vivid, commanding, larger-than-life stage presence.  And she's such a terrific singer!  That makes it easy, and a pleasure, for me to write something with her in mind, as there's nobody else quite like her.'

Lynn University and Producer Jan McArt, director of theatre arts program development, will present the final two Jan McArt's New Play Readings during March and April. Under the leadership and guidance of McArt, this program develops new plays by highly acclaimed playwrights through staged readings held in the beautiful Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center, located on Lynn's campus in Boca Raton.

Lynn University and Producer Jan McArt, director of theatre arts program development, are continuing this season's popular Libby Dodson's Live at Lynn Theatre Series with two major shows in March and April.

Boca Raton, Fla. -- Jon Robertson, dean of Lynn University's Conservatory of Music and Philharmonia guest conductor, today invited the public to attend 19 musical performances during Feb. and March 2016.

The Manhattan Transfer performed at Jan McArts Live at Lynn Series in Boca Raton last night and BroadwayWorld was there. Check out the photos below. The legendary vocal group founded by Tim Hauser in 1969 has won 10 Grammy Awards and 20 nominations.  The audiences at the groups two sold out concerts were treated to many famous arrangements from the groups storied song book. Among others the Boca audience heard, Candy, Operator, Birdland, (for which Janis Siegel won a Grammy Award for best arrangement), and Route 66.  Alan Paul, Janis Siegel, Cheryl Bentyne, and Trist Curless also displayed their vocal expertise in some great solos.  

Dick Robinson and his Legends Radio Station broadcasting out of Palm Beach to a world wide audience presented Ann Hampton Callaway in a concert which supported the Society For The Preservation Of The Great American Songbook at Eissey Campus Theatre in Palm Beach Florida last night and BroadwayWorld was there.  Check out the photos below.
