Lookingglass Theatre Company presents the World Premiere of Peter Pan (A Play), newly adapted by Amanda Denhert from the books by J.M. Barrie and directed by Amanda Dehnert. The production runs October 20 - December 12, 2010 at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. The press opening is Saturday, October 30, at 7:30 p.m.

Victory Gardens Theater will welcome playwright Sarah Ruhl back to her hometown Chicago with a special public event - Ruhl Makers - a panel of leading women theater artists in Chicago who have helped Ruhl escape 'reading hell' to become arguably the top contemporary playwright in America today.

For the second year running, Seanachai teams with the Storefront Theatre to showcase another large cast production, this time set in the North of Ireland. With only a murmur heard of the Troubles that simmer under the surface, McCafferty's 'marvelous, engrossing, ensemble play' smashes the big picture into vivid snapshots of a single day of contemporary Belfast life. Originally presented by London's Royal National Theatre in 2003, this tale of 'lust, loss, hope, anger, grief, tenacity, old age [and] young fury' makes its Midwest premiere under the splendid direction of Scott Cummins.
