Cynthia Nixon has won the 2017 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play for Lillian Hellman'S The Little Foxes. This marks Ms. Nixon's fourth Tony nomination and second win. She previously won the Tony for 2006's RABBIT HOLE. She was also nominated for 2012's WIT and 1995's INDISCRETIONS. 

Capezio, a fourth-generation family-owned and operated business, has named fashion industry veteran, Lynn Shanahan, as its CEO.  Shanahan is the first non-family member to run the dance industry's most revered footwear and apparel brand. She is also the company's first female CEO in its 130-year-old history and is herself, an award-winning, competitive ballroom dancer.

Entr'Acte Theatrix will present The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the PGA Arts Center in Palm Beach Gardens from June 22 - July 2. 

Full casting for the UK tour of Ira Levin's Tony-nominated classic thriller Deathtrap includes Sam Phillips (Clifford), Beverly Klein (Helga ten Dorp) and Julien Ball (Porter). They join the previously announced TV stars Paul Bradley (Holby City and EastEnders) as Sidney Bruhl and BAFTA nominee Jessie Wallace (EastEnders and Fings Ain't Wot They Used T'Be) as Myra Bruhl.

Casting for the first two weeks of American Ballet Theatre's 2017 Spring Season at the Metropolitan Opera House was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie.

In this production of THE LITTLE FOXES, actresses Laura Linney Cynthia Nixon alternate playing the roles of Regina and Birdie in Lillian Hellman's legendary play about greed and ambition. Both are nominated for a Tony Award, Cynthia for Best Featured Actress in a Play, and Laura for Best Actress in a Play. The 2017 Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival 2017, the first programmed exclusively by new Director Pamela Tatge, is full of exciting programming featuring world premieres, commissions, site-specific work, international artists, live music, and Pillow-exclusive engagements, all to celebrate a momentous 85th Anniversary Season. Running June 21-August 27, Festival 2017 includes more than 200 free events, performances, exhibits, and talks, as well as many new offerings and initiatives launched under Tatge's leadership. In keeping with the Jacob's Pillow mission to engage and educate the community through the depth and breadth of dance, the genres and styles presented as part of the 85th Anniversary Season are far-reaching and inclusive, encompassing modern, contemporary, ballet, hip-hop, improvisation, flex, tap dance, step, Brazilian social dance, dance theater, traditional Native American, Bharatanatyam, musical theater dance, classical Cambodian, Latin ballroom, capoeira, and traditional Korean movement styles.

Manhattan Theatre Club's new Broadway production of Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, starring Laura Linney and Cynthia Nixon, opens tonight, April 19, at MTC's Samuel J. Dance Against Cancer producers Erin Fogarty and Daniel Ulbricht have partnered with the American Cancer Society to present the seventh annual fundraising event on Monday, May 8, 2017. The gala benefit brings together artists from leading dance companies from New York City and beyond for a night of performances and world premieres.

Present Laughter, starring Academy Award- and two-time Tony Award-winner Kevin Kline in his triumphant return to Broadway, opens tonight, April 5th, at the St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street).
