The musical lineup for the 2017 Solid Sound Festival, which takes place June 23-25 at MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA, has been revealed.

James Turrell's site-specific installation Meeting at MoMA PS1 will re-open on October 8 after a three-year restoration and renovation. One of Turrell's celebrated Skyspaces, Meeting is an installation inside the museum that invites viewers to gaze upwards toward an unobstructed view of the sky. The only public James Turrell Skyspace in the New York area, Meeting is also the first Skyspace that Turrell created in the United States and just the second ever made.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) announced today that fashion and basketball aficionado James Goldstein has promised his John Lautner-designed home, its contents, and the surrounding estate to LACMA. The promised gift, which is in a new area of collecting for the museum, includes a James Turrell Skyspace in its extensive landscaped tropical gardens, an infinity tennis court, and an entertainment complex. Mr. Goldstein's extensive fashion collection, works by artists including Ed Ruscha, DeWain Valentine, Bernar Venet, and Kenny Scharf, architectural models of the property, and an iconic Rolls Royce Silver Cloud from 1961 are included in the gift.

Presented during the annual Association of Performing Arts Presenters conference, Live Artery 2015 will feature two full theater remounts; excerpts from two recently premiered works and an excerpt from one forthcoming premiere work by 2014-15 New York Live Arts commissioned artists; and a work-in-progress showing by the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company (New York Live Arts' Resident Dance Company).

The Frist Center for the Visual Arts presents Helen Pashgian: Light Invisible, an exhibition featuring sculptures by one of the pioneering artists of the Light and Space movement that began in the 1960s in Los Angeles. On display from today, September 26, 2014 through January 4, 2015, the exhibition of large light-infused columns and other works will transform the Gordon Contemporary Artists Project Gallery into an ethereal sensory environment yielding experiences that are both meditative and astonishing.
