On-stage seating for the Shakespeare's Globe production of FARINELLI AND THE KING, starring three-time Tony Award winner and Academy Award winner Mark Rylance, will go on sale on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 10:00 AM.The Belasco Theatre will be transformed for this beguiling and transporting production, lit almost exclusively by the glow of candlelight and with live music played on Baroque instruments. Theatregoers who choose on-stage seats, in the upper gallery and at stage level ($32-$157) will have an authentic, up close and intimate viewing experience. These tickets will be available for purchase at Telecharge.com and at the Belasco Theatre box office (111 West 44th Street).

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) and TodayTix, the theater ticket app, announced today a CheapTix mobile lottery for Lazarus by David Bowie and Enda Walsh (Once, Tony Award), BroadwayWorld has learned. To increase access to tickets, this TodayTix program will replace the previously announced in-person lottery and will offer $25 tickets to the fastest selling show in NYTW history.

Due to unprecedented demand, New York Theatre Workshop has announced a final extension of three additional performances for LAZARUS by David Bowie and Enda Walsh (Once, Tony Award), BroadwayWorld has confirmed. The fastest selling show in NYTW history, LAZARUS is inspired by the novel The Man Who Fell to Earth by Walter Tevis and directed by Ivo van Hove (Hedda Gabler, More Stately Mansions,Obie Awards). LAZARUS began previews on November 18 and officially opens tonight, December 7, 2015 at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003). The additional performances will be: Monday, January 18 at 8PM, Tuesday, January 19 at 8PM, and Wednesday January 20 at 8PM.

Midtown Direct Rep (MDR), the resident theater company at South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC), has announced that Academy Award-winner Olympia Dukakis will be joined by Midtown Direct Rep company members Sebastian Arcelus, Jenny Bacon, Emily Bauer and Stephanie Kurtzuba, plus special guests Kendra Jain and Dan Ziskie in a one-night-only staged reading of ABSENCE, a new play about memory loss. Former-actress turned director Margaret Whitton stages this new work by emerging playwright Peter M. Floyd that was honored by the Kennedy Center's 2012 Jean Kennedy Smith Award and the 2012 Kendeda Graduate Playwriting Competition. The performance, part of MDR's Theatre in the Loft series focusing on new and innovative American theatre, is Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 7 pm at SOPAC (One SOPAC Way, South Orange, NJ, 07079). The performance will be followed by a discussion with the playwright, the cast and creative team.
