They say that spring showers bring May flowers. At The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre, spring showers have brought the musical Singin' in the Rain to the stage. Based on the classic MGM film, Singin' in the Rain is part of the theatre's 20th Anniversary Season. Last seen in Frederick nearly twenty years ago, Singin' in the Rain continues its run at Way Off Broadway through May 31st.

At the end of 2013, The Way Off Broadway Children's Theatre announced that it would be opening its 2014 Season with the brand new musical Tilly the Trickster, based on the book by Saturday Night Live star Molly Shannon. With the beginning of the new year, casting for the area premiere production has been announced.

The season kicked off with the funny and heartwarming Steel Magnolias, followed by Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 - The Musical. Beginning today, June 14th, the theatre is going pink when it opens Legally Blonde for its summer run.

The First Widows Club will be the newest in a growing list of crime capers from Way Off Broadway and Justin M. Kiska, the creator of WOB's Marquee Mystery series.

The Children's Theatre at Way Off Broadway is bringing a classic story to the stage in a brand new children's musical adaptation of The Nutcracker. Based on the Tchaikovsky ballet, Clara and the Nutcracker Prince carries the audience away as the Prince introduces Clara to a world of fantasy. From the Sugar Plum Fairy to the Mouse King, Clara is taken on a magical holiday adventure neither she nor the audience will ever forget.

Over the years, some of the most popular shows at the theatre have been its Christmas productions. From Frosty the Snow Man to Santa's elves to the furry characters from the children's book Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree, they have all helped to celebrate the joy of the season in the Children's Theatre at one time or another.
