Paper Mill Playhouse, recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award, has announced casting for its award-winning Broadway Show Choir.

On Thursday, November 3, Elizabeth LeCompte, experimental theater and media pioneer, and founding member and director of the internationally acclaimed theater company The Wooster Group, was awarded the 23rd annual Dorothy and Lillian Gish Prize at a packed house at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City. The Gish Prize Trust recently announced that Elizabeth LeCompte, founding member and director of the internationally acclaimed experimental theater company The Wooster Group, has been selected to receive the 23rd annual Dorothy and Lillian Gish Prize.

Cal State Fullerton's production of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, adapted by Jon Jory, is directed by Professor Mark Ramont and runs November 4-20, 2016 in the Young Theatre on campus.

PlayMakers Repertory Company will partner with Triangle theater companies Little Green Pig, Black Ops and the Kenan Theater Company (a University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill undergraduate theater troupe) to proudly present a staged reading of AFTER ORLANDO, an evening of short plays in response to the shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida. The reading is presented in association with Missing Bolts Productions Inc. (Blair Baker & Zac Kline artistic directors) and NoPassport Theatre Alliance and Press (Caridad Svich, founder) and will be on November 28th, at 7:30pm in the Kenan Theater at the Center for Dramatic Arts.

Kate Lydon has been named artistic director of American Ballet Theatre's Summer Intensive programs, it was announced today by ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie. Lydon, who is also artistic director of the ABT Studio Company as well as Apprentice Program Coordinator, succeeds Julie Kent who served as the Summer Intensive artistic director for 2016.
