Cal State Fullerton's production of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, adapted by Jon Jory, is directed by Professor Mark Ramont and runs November 4-20, 2016 in the Young Theatre on campus. Adaptor Jon Jory was the longtime producing director of Actors Theatre of Louisville who helped form the Humana Festival of New American Plays that produced several notable plays such as "The Gin Games" by Donald L. Colburn, "Crimes of the Heart" by Beth Henley and "Dinner with Friends" by Donald Margulies. In 2000, Mr. Jory's successful career led him to be inducted into the American Theatre Hall of Fame.

A filmmaker (Wyatt Cenac, 'The Daily Show') receives a series of panicked emails and phone calls from a young French woman -- Jacqueline Dumont (Camille Rutherford, HOLY MOTORS). She implores him to travel to Argentina to document her self-imposed political exile after she supposedly leaks highly confidential government secrets detailing a planned assassination. Jacqueline expects a severe fallout and wants the filmmaker there recording everything in case anything happens to her.

Washington National Opera (WNO) today announced a change to its 2016-2017 season programming: Don Giovanni in Concert will replace the previously scheduled Stars of Tomorrow concert on Friday, March 17, 2017 in the Kennedy Center Opera House. Instead of a traditional showcase featuring arias and scenes from different operas, members of the Domingo-Cafritz Young Artist Program will now present a semi-staged concert performance of Mozart's timeless drama, with the WNO Orchestra conducted by Michael Christie and featuring direction by WNO Artistic Director Francesca Zambello.
