Julliard Dance Presents NEW DANCES: EDITION 2017

Juilliard Dance, under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes, presents New Dances: Edition 2016 featuring four world-premiere dances by choreographers John Heginbotham (First-Year Dancers), Katarzyna Skarpetowska, (Second-Year Dancers), Pam Tanowitz (Third-Year Dancers), and Matthew Neenan (Fourth-Year Dancers).  Heginbotham and Skarpetowska are Juilliard alums, and Tanowitz and Neenan are returning as New Dances choreographers. 

Full Cast Announced for LA CAGE AUX FOLLES at Skylight Music Theatre

Skylight Music Theatre announced the full 22-member cast for the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical La Cage Aux Folles (The Birdcage), running November 18 through December 23 in the beautiful Cabot Theatre at the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward.

BWW Review: East West's KENTUCKY Goes Down Smooooth As Its Namesake's Bourbon

The East West Players' West Coast premiere of playwright Leah Nanako Winkler's KENTUCKY stuns and enthralls with its highly dramatic, polarizing emotions emoted by its almost perfect cast. Winkler has written a most involving piece of theatre that walks a razor-thin tightrope between knee-slapping comedy and heartstring-tugging drama. Very nice!

The Public Theater presents TINY BEAUTIFUL THINGS, based on the acclaimed book by best-selling author Cheryl Strayed and adapted for the stage by Academy Award-nominated writer Nia Vardalos, with direction by Thomas Kail. Six Playmakers Selected for 2017 Playwrights' Arena at Arena Stage

Six D.C.-area playmakers have been selected to participate in the third installment of Playwrights' Arena, a year-long program that invites a small group of local theater makers to investigate their artistic process and develop their dramaturgical practice. BUILDING BRIDGES Gala Celebration Announces 2016 Lineup

The Bridge Initiative hosts Building Bridges, a cocktail gala celebration featuring performances, food, drink, a silent auction (items for bid include tickets to other performing arts organizations, tickets to Cactus Bowl, AZ State Park membership, Preferred Hotels vacation packages, and more), and a chance to interface with the community. Funds raised will finance future Bridge Initiative programming, including a new play development week in February.
