Today, the shortlist is announced for the 2017 BroadwayWorld UK Awards, celebrating the best long-running West End productions and best new productions from around the country. CLICK HERE TO VOTE!

Multi-award-winning and internationally recognised choreographer Yasmeen Godder will premiere her new work Face In this Autumn, commissioned by Candoco Dance Company and performed by their company of disabled and non-disabled dancers. Face In is the final commission from Stine Nilsen and Pedro Machado before they step down as Artistic Co-Directors of Candoco, as announced in January.

Almeida Artistic Director Rupert Goold said: 'We are thrilled to present three major new productions at the Almeida, including two world premieres and one rare revival. Spanning the Atlantic and beyond, this season is a timely and limitless interrogation into contemporary cultural anxieties and the power we have over our own lives.'

Following a critically acclaimed, sold-out season at the Almeida in 2016-17, Robert Icke's new adaptation of Mary Stuart transfers to the Duke of York's Theatre in London's West End from Saturday 13 January for a limited run.

After a UK tour that started at the Lowry before a three week run at The Place in the Spring and has spanned the country, May Contain Food is embarking on the final leg of its tour with a date in Stockton on the 24th November, and two London dates: artsdepot on the 26th, and then finishes at Shoreditch Town Hall on the 6th as part of Spitalfields Music Festival.

Birmingham Hippodrome is delighted to welcome Fagin's Twist, an ambitious reimagining of Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist by innovative hip hop / contemporary dance company Avant Garde Dance, led by Artistic Director Tony Adigun. 

Upon hearing the term 'ballet' one typically envisions fluffy tutus and satin pointe shoes: the very epitome of girlish grace and beauty showcased in lithe bodies adorned in tulle and rhinestones. Ballerinas are given the stage as the protagonists, while oft times the men are utilized simply as support systems to drive the plot and lift the girls. Balletboyz, an all male company from the United Kingdom, is making great strides to break the streak of heternomativity in the dance world by giving men the right to all the 'good parts' of ballet. Company founders and Co-Artistic Directors, Michael Nunn and William Trevitt, spearheaded this company with the revolutionary plan to bring men to the forefront of the ballet stage, not simply as backup to the female roles. In doing so, the hope of these collaborators is to bring the art and athleticism of ballet to broader audiences.
