After 22 years in NYC, actor Dennis Dannel, Jr. will come home to New Orleans this summer, to perform in Jackie Alexander's play, 'The High Priestess of Dark Alley,' July 7th - 24th at the historic Le Petit Theatre playhouse (celebrating 100 years). With over 15 years of NYC training, having acted in over 40 shows on the NY Stage, as well as TV, Film and Soap Opera credits, pretty much everyone who knows Dennis, knows he's an actor. What most don't know, however, is that Dennis is also an accomplished fine artist.

October 8, 2014 - The Billie Holiday Theatre's Executive Director Marjorie Moon announces the appointment of Kelley Girod as the Theatre's Producing Director. Girod is the founder and executive producer for The Fire This Time Festival, for which she was awarded nytheatre.com Person of the Year in2011, and has been featured in American Theatre Magazine,The New York Times, and The Boston Globe. She received her MFA from Columbia University and her BA from Louisiana State University.
The Billie Holiday Theatre continues its 42nd Season Generations United with the World Premiere of Maid's Door by Writers Guild Award winner and Emmy Award nominee Cheryl L. Davis; the show will be directed by the Theatre's Artistic Director Jackie Alexander. Opening Night will be Thursday, March 6; and the show will run through Sunday, March 30. Performances are Thursday-Saturday at 8pm with matinees on Saturday at 3pm and Sunday at 4pm.
