The 1622 gothic horror tragicomedy (written by Thomas Middleton and William Rowley) plays The Studio Bar at The Astorian in Astoria and the Plaxall Gallery in Long Island City.

Bryant Park assumes the guise of wartime Venice as New York's famed theater company, The Drilling Company (TDC) of Shakespeare in the Parking Lot, present their rendition of Shakespeare's immortal drama Othello at Bryant Park's Picnic Performance series. All shows are open to the public and take place outdoors on the Bryant Park stage, rain or shine. Blankets are available for rent free of charge and picnicking on the green is encouraged.

Shakespeare in the Parking Lot will present 'Romeo and Juliet,' directed by Lukas Raphael, July 11 to 27 at La Plaza @ The Clemente Parking Lot, 114 Norfolk Street.  This popular New York summer institution is now in its 25th year. Its concept--presenting Shakespeare plays with a 'poor theater' aesthetic in a working parking lot--is now widely imitated around the US and around the world, with productions as far away as New Zealand.  The Drilling Company, led by Artistic Director Hamilton Clancy, has produced the attraction since 2005.

Obie Award winning Metropolitan Playhouse (220 E. 4th Street) presents Jacob Gordin's The Jewish King Lear, one of the foundational works of the "Golden Age" of American Yiddish theater, in a new English translation by Ruth Gay, from April 27 through May 27, 2018. The play, which had its Lower East Side debut in 1892 and was written as a star vehicle for Jacob Adler, one of the greatest actors of the New York's Yiddish stage. Metropolitan Playhouse welcomes back director Ed Chemaly (The Easiest Way, The Spirit House) to helm the production.

JERICHO will play a four-week limited engagement at The Wild Project (195 E 3rd St, New York, NY 10009). Performances begin Saturday, January 20 and continue through Saturday, February 10, 2018.
