The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra announced today that renowned opera star and Indianapolis native Angela Brown will co-host this year's annual holiday production of Duke Energy Yuletide Celebration with noted Broadway actor Ben Crawford, who starred on the Great White Way in Shrek the Musical. Brown will become the first host of Yuletide Celebration who was born and raised in this city.

High school vocalists from 11 states will arrive in Indianapolis on June 12 for the Great American Songbook Vocal Academy and Competition. The four-day academy and competition is sponsored by the Michael Feinstein Great American Songbook Initiative. The annual endeavor is the only U.S. competition dedicated solely to the music from Broadway, Hollywood musicals and the Tin Pan Alley era of the early to mid-twentieth century.

Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly leads the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Baltimore Choral Arts Society in a concert featuring popular favorites from musicals such as Les Miserables and Miss Saigon on Thursday, April 19 at 8 p.m. at the Music Center at Strathmore, Friday, April 20 at 8 p.m., Saturday, April 21 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 22 at 3 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.
