Pegasus Theatre Presents WHITE PEOPLE, Now thru 5/25

WHITE PEOPLE by J.T. Rogers will be presented by Pegasus Theatre as a Churchmouse production at the Bath House Cultural Center today, May 8 - May 25, 2014. WHITE PEOPLE will be directed by Chad Cline and the cast includes Jack O'Donnell as Martin, Charissa Lee as Mara Lynn, and Jason Folks as Alan. Churchmouse Productions is the non-black and white arm of Pegasus Theatre. The plays selected for Churchmouse are generally riskier, edgier, contemporary fare and WHITE PEOPLE certainly meets those objectives.

ANNAPURNA, THE AMISH PROJECT & More Set for Chester Theatre Company's 25th Season

Chester Theatre Company will present its 25th Anniversary season from June 25th to August 24th at the Chester Town Hall in Chester, MA. This landmark year will include J.T. Roger's haunting mystery MADAGASCAR, Sharr White's sharp comedy ANNAPURNA, Caryl Churchill's futuristic thriller A NUMBER, and Jessica Dickey's transformative one-woman show THE AMISH PROJECT.

Tonight, Jan. 5, 92Y hosts an evening with the stars and director behind the new Broadway musical The Bridges of Madison County at 7:30 pm. Four-time Tony Award-nominee Kelli O'Hara (Francesca) and Steven Pasquale (Robert Kincaid) will join Tony Award-winning director Bartlett Sher and composer/lyricist Jason Robert Brown for a conversation moderated by Tony Award winning composer/lyricist Adam Guettel. The evening will also include a few performances of songs from the show.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, The National Theatre first opened its doors in 1963 at the Old Vic, under Laurence Olivier. 800 productions later, they are marking their half-century with a short season celebrating the remarkable people and plays that have made the NT one of the most cherished and creative of great British institutions. last night, a private reception, panel discussion, and screening was held for Live From The National Theatre: 50 Years On Stage. Williams Street Rep to Stage SWEENEY TODD at the Raue Center, 10/25-11/2

Williams Street Repertory's first full-stage production of the 2013/2014 season opens October 25, 2013 at 8:00pm. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street will run select dates and times through November 2. Performances take place at Raue Center For The Arts located at 26 N. Williams Street in Historic Downtown Crystal Lake, Illinois.

TRT2 to Stage WHITE PEOPLE, 10/3-20

TRT2 will launch it's third season by producing J.T Rogers' controversial play White People opening October 3rd at the Silver Meteor Gallery in Ybor City. The show will run Thursday, October 3rd through Sunday, October 20th. Performance times are 8:00pm Thursday through Saturday and 3:00pm on Sundays. Admission is $15 at the door or online at tamparep.org/wp. Groups of eight or more can purchase tickets at a group rate of $12 per person. The Silver Meteor Gallery is located at 2213 E. 6th Avenue, Ybor City.

The Phoenix Launches in Pittsburgh with BLUE/ORANGE, 11/1

Long-time PICT artistic director and founder, Andrew Paul and Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre founder and former director of theatre initiatives at the August Wilson Center, Mark Clayton Southers have announced Pittsburgh's newest professional theatre company, The Phoenix. The mission of The Phoenix is to explore the issues facing our diverse and rapidly changing world through the language of theatre. The name is purposeful. The phoenix was a mythological creature that crossed borders finding a home in many cultures from ancient Greece and Egypt to Turkey, Persia, Russia, Tibet, China and Japan. It was and is a symbol of renewal, new life emerging from the ashes of the old in a never-ending cycle of death and rebirth.

Mike Vandercook Joins Raue Center as Director of Production

TimeLine Presents Chicago Premiere of J.T. Rogers' BLOOD AND GIFTS, Now thru 7/28

TimeLine Theatre Company concludes its 2012-13 season with a play that was named among the Top 10 of 2011 by The New York Times. The Chicago premiere of Blood and Gifts by J.T. Rogers, directed by TimeLine Associate Artistic Director Nick Bowling, runs tonight, May 9 - July 28, 2013 (previews April 30 - May 8) at TimeLine Theatre, 615 W. Wellington Ave, Chicago. Press Opening performance is tonight, May 9, 2013 at 7:30 p.m.
