Silk Road Rising presents their first-ever holiday show with the world premiere of Christmas at Christine's, written and performed by Christine Bunuan and directed by J.R. Sullivan. The production will run December 1st to 23rd, 2016 at Silk Road Rising located at 77 W. Washington St., Lower Level, Chicago, IL, 60602. The Press Opening is Today, December 2nd at 8:00pm.

SENSE AND SENSIBILITY Opens 7/21 at Marian Theatre

Sense and Sensibility is the journey of two sisters discovering the balance between rationalism and romanticism while finding their way to personal power and a real understanding of what love truly means. Jane Austen's romantic comedy adapted for the stage by Joseph Hanreddy and J.R. Sullivan (Pride and Prejudice) plays in the Marian Theatre July 21 - 30, then transfers to the Solvang Festival Theater and runs from August 5 - 21.

Gingold Theatrical Group to Host SHAW NEW YORK SYMPOSIUM Next Week

Gingold Theatrical Group's SHAW NEW YORK FESTIVAL, under the leadership of Artistic Director David Staller, hosts a SHAW NEW YORK SYMPOSIUM  on Monday, March 14 from 6-8pm, at the Bruno Walter Auditorium, New York Public Library (111 Amsterdam Avenue). The event is free but reservations are required and may be made by contacting the Library website (http://www.nypl.org/events/programs/2016/03/14/gingold-theatrical-group%E2%80%99s-annual-shaw-symposium) or GTG.

CRT to Present Jane Austen's SENSE AND SENSIBILITY

?Connecticut Repertory Theatre will present Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility by adapted for the stage by Joseph Hanreddy and J.R. Sullivan as the fourth show of its 2015-2016 season. The show is directed by Kristin Wold, a faculty member at UConn and member of Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA.  Sense and Sensibility will be held in the Harriet S. People's Light Presents Regional Premiere of SENSE AND SENSIBILITY

Nationally esteemed theatre-maker Joseph Hanreddy, former Artistic Director of Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, directs a cast of 19 in his new version of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility on the Leonard C. Haas Stage at People's Light from February 10 to March 20, 2016.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater transports London's inimitable West End theater tradition to Milwaukee on their Quadracci Powerhouse stage. One of the theater's most successful playwrights, Agatha Christie, and her murder mystery The Mousetrap, haunt and humor theatergoers this November and December. The beguiling The Mousetrap production places several unusual characters in a guest house while snowbound in a small town near London. There's no where for anyone to escape after a seemingly unrelated murder occurs, and the audience applauds every moment as the nursery rhyme tune 'Three Blind Mice.' plays in the background several times during the performance while the guests figure out why they are all considered suspects.

Shakespeare, Austen & More on Tap for CT Rep's 2015-16 Season

Connecticut Repertory Theatre under the leadership of Artistic Director Vincent J. Cardinal and Managing Director Matthew J. Pugliese announced the 2015-16 Season.  The season features works that have been adapted from another medium.  These stories range from contemporary classics, musical comedy and original premieres.  Subscriptions are currently on sale and can be purchased by calling 860-486-2113.  Single tickets go on sale on August 1.
