Hungarian State Opera Announces 2021/22 Season and Reopening of the Opera House

The 138th season of the Hungarian State Opera will presents seventeen premieres including seven that had to be postponed. The three venues of the Opera await audiences with 400 opera and ballet performances, and a further 1300 concerts, chamber concerts, special events, and multimedia activities mean the beginning of a new era.

Music Of The Baroque Announces 2021-22 Season

Principal Guest Conductor Nicholas Kraemer takes the podium in November for Thanksgiving performances of Handel's Messiah, the first by the group in over a decade and the Music of the Baroque Chorus's first regular season appearance since December 2019. Andrew Megill, conductor of the Montreal Symphony Chorus and the Carmel Bach Festival Chorale, will lead the annual Holiday Brass & Choral Concerts in December.

Chicago's Bach Week Festival Announces 2021 Virtual Concert Lineup

Chicago's 2021 Bach Week Festival will arrive as a virtual two-concert series of free-to-view webcasts May 16 and 21 featuring instrumental and vocal music of the festival's namesake, German Baroque composer Johann Sebastian Bach, plus a work by Bach contemporary Georg Philipp Telemann, in prerecorded and livestreamed performances.

Artist George Condo Donates $400,000 To Bard College Through Limited Edition Print Sale With Hauser & Wirth

Bard College announced today that artist George Condo has made a significant gift supporting the arts on campus, including a new online concert series and a dedicated $400,000 fund underwriting scholarships, musical events, and exhibitions at Bard's Conservatory of Music, The Orchestra Now, the Center for Curatorial Studies, and the Masters in Fine Art programs. Among those scholarships is the new Inclusive Excellence in Music Scholarship Program that addresses inequities in access to higher education in music.

2021 Arizona Bach Festival Announced

The Arizona Bach Festival celebrates its 12th anniversary season of presenting renowned artists performing the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. The 2021 Festival will be held virtually on YouTube with a three-concert Festival, February 21, February 28 and March 7, 2021. All concerts will begin at 3:00 pm MST/5:00 EST.
